E.SVEIKATOS PILDYMO GAIRĖS OPTOMETRININKUI
February 5, 2025
"In Lithuania, optometrists have been officially classified as personal health care professionals since the Lithuanian medical standard MN 166:2018 "Optometrist" was approved by the Order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania (MoH) in 2018. As optometry has become a legally regulated profession, the relevance of the professional development of optometrists has correspondingly increased due to the need to license their practice. Optometrists have been practising in Lithuania for more than 12 years, but no studies have been carried out to assess the need for the professional development of these professionals and the development of optometric care services.
